ABOUT THE COURSE

The post graduate course in chemistry is designed for students who wish to have higher education in the field of chemical sciences to enter into research and academics. The course provides professional expertise of laboratory techniques and advanced technology so as to encourage students to frame their own possible way towards excellence.

B.Sc with 45% marks & Chemistry in final year as compulsory subjects. (40% for SC/ST candidates)

Admission through MJP Rohilkhand University entrance examination (qualified / appeared).

Paper – 4 (A) Group Theory, Spectroscopy & Diffraction methods
(B) Mathematics for Chemists OR Biology for Chemists

M.Sc. (Chemistry) Second Year

Paper – 1 Spectroscopy, Photochemistry & solid state chemistry
Paper – 2 Bioinorganic, Bioorganic, Bio physical Chemistry & Environmental Chemistry
Paper – 3 (A) Inorganic – Organ transition metal chemistry + Bioinorganic & super molecular chemistry
(B) Organic – Synthesis I + Synthesis II
(C) Physical – Chemistry of Materials + Advance Quantum Chemistry
Paper – 4 (A) Inorganic – Photo Inorganic Chemistry + Analytical Chemistry
(B) Organic – Heterocyclic chemistry + Chemistry of Natural Products
