ABOUT THE COURSE

Economics is a social science that studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. The study of this field is very vast and not restricted to just business, finance and government, but to crime, education, family, health, law, politics, religion, social institutions, war and science, as well. Economics aims to explain how economies work and how economic agents interact.

WHY ECONOMICS

Economics continues to rank among the most popular majors chosen by the majority of students. Due to the widespread use of Economics in various sectors, graduates are employed in a range of posts such as in manufacturing, transport, communications, banking, insurance, investment and retailing industries, as well as in government agencies, consulting and charitable organizations. In addition to economic consultation work in both the private and public sectors, employment prospects in journalism, administration, sales, finance, investment banking, and venture capital are also available for economics graduates.
