ABOUT THE COURSE

J.M.B. Institute has the best and well established home science department in the region. The department provides B.Sc. Home science programme which holds a unique and well designed curriculum.

Home science is a subject with wide prospective and infinite future prospects. We at J.M.B, provide the students with a broad overviews and practical applications of the five branches of home science viz. Food and nutrition, clothing, Human development and family resource management, extension and communication.

J.M.B provides excellent learning and stimulating environment with individual attention to all the students aiming at their academic excellence.

WHY THIS COURSE

After gaining a degree in B. Sc. Home science, the students are endowed with many future career prospects. Home science relies on a multidisciplinary approach. So the students may seek a post graduate degree in fashion designing, fashion management, dietetics, clothing, Extension, Human Development and Business administration.

Home Science develops entrepreneurial skills in the students, so they may furnish as a rising entrepreneur in any field.

Apart from this, a home science graduate may also pursue B.Ed./B.T.C. Providing them with teaching opportunities at school level. To adopt teaching at college level, they may prepare for NET/JRF after attaining a post graduate degree.

ELIGIBILITY

10+2 Art/Science/Commerce/Any stream with 45% marks. (40% for SC & ST students)

ADMISSION PROCESS

Direct admission will be done at the college based on Personal Interview and merit of the student at 10+2 level or as per the guidelines set by the MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly.
