ABOUT THE COURSE

JMB is a pioneer in bringing Geography subject at both graduate and post graduate level in Pilibhit region. Geography is the study of the earth & its lands, features, inhabitants and phenomena. It also includes study of factors such as physical features, climate, soil, vegetation, population, land use and industries in all over world and their regional differentiation. Geography is often defined in terms of the two branches of human geography and physical geography.

Human geography deals with the study of people and their communities, cultures, economies and interactions with the environment by studying their relations with and across space and place.

Physical geography deals with the study of processes and patterns in the natural environment like the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and geosphere.

WHY GEOGRAPHY

Now days the significance of geography course has increased greatly and it has introduced many career opportunities. In the present era of satellite technology, remote sensing and GIS (Geographical Information System), multiple career options are available for qualified and able geographer.

With the increase use of geography in various competitive and other government jobs, geography is becoming a more promising career option than it was ever before.
